Mavisworks is my space to explore, experiment, and share what I create.
I’ve spent more than 30 years working with technology, helping organizations solve problems, improve processes, and make complex systems work better for people. Along the way, I’ve learned that the most interesting work often happens where technology, creativity, and human needs intersect.
My interests range from organizational leadership and project management to web design, AI, automation, and interactive applications. Some projects solve practical problems. Others are simply opportunities to learn something new, experiment with an idea, or have a little fun.
The common thread is curiosity, creative problem-solving, and a belief that technology should serve people—not the other way around.

Building high-performing and collaborative teams…
Team-building is one of the most enjoyable tasks that I do. I am passionate about creating high-performing, collaborative teams, where people enjoy working and completing projects with a high level of quality.
Selecting the “right” approach to get work done…
Most organizations are hybrid, meaning that they use a combination of Agile and Waterfall to get work done. There should be no bad feelings about choosing one over of the other, or having a mix, based on the needs of each organization and project. The best path forward is to select the framework, or combination of frameworks, that supports the situation.
Balancing structure and flexibility…
I strive to find the right level of documentation v. agility based on the needs of each organization. I often use the term “structure” to indicate any level of formality. How much structure do we need to support both the execution and reporting/documentation needs of each organization? Each organization has a threshold after which “structure” is burdensome. I excel at finding the right fit for each organization.
