Mavisworks Website –

I enjoy both the visual and technical sides of building websites—from experimenting with layouts, colors, and user experiences to figuring out how to make things work.

I build and maintain WordPress websites and experiment with interactive web applications, AI tools, and digital experiences. I particularly enjoy the process of turning an idea into something functional, engaging, and useful.

Mavisworks Quarterly Business Review Assistant –

This AI Assistant was created as classwork for one of my certifications. It is an example of what is possible using Gen AI to increase efficiency of business processes. During the time I spent opening my own LLC, I was able to dig into some business fundamentals that I haven’t had a chance to dig into before. QBR is one of them.

Sonic Playground – HTML/CSS/Javascript for Desktop

My bandmate Richelle and I decided it seemed like a good idea to make an app that could generate moans in the style of Bruce Springsteen. I have ideas for that app, but it will require recording and sampling. In the meantime, I created this tool to use potentially during performance. It’s an interactive browser-based sound experiment featuring synthesizer personalities, pitch manipulation, and unconventional audio effects. Built for experimentation and live performance.

Oak Park Rainfall Gauge – Custom GPT | AI Assisted Weather Utility

If you live in, or simply want to know how much precipitation we’ve had in Oak Park, IL today, this week, and this month, the AI Assisted Oak Park Rainfall Gauge is for you. I created this for my partner, as this information isn’t as easily compiled in this way as you might think. Also, it avoids ads.

Queer Country Bandwagon |

I am the Website Administrator & Developer my band’s website. I design, host, and maintain the band’s WordPress website, managing site architecture, content, functionality, and ongoing updates.

Unscrambler – Custom GPT | AI Word Game Utility

It unscrambles. Do you play word games where you have 6 letters from which you need to find many words that are between 3-6 letters? Are you tired of ads on these pages that fill up the entire phone screen, making the use of the pages nearly impossible? The need comes at a time when you just cannot figure out that darned 6-letter word and type in “###### unscramble” into a browser to pull up a site that might help you with words? It doesn’t yet work as well as some of the sites out there, but it is a work in progress.

WIG (Woke Image Generator) – Custom GPT | Inclusive AI Image Generation

This My use case for this is to create marketing images and images to be used in powerpoint presentations for a construction project management special interest group. When I first started working with ChatGPT, I was like, “give me a professional image that represents Chicago project management.” The initial images were eye-opening, as most used the interpretation of “professional” to mean white men. Chat GPT basically gave me images of project managers in suits as white men. Most of the other folks in the images were also men. There were no men of color, women, folks with disabilities, or age variations. This work in progress instructs ChatGPT on a new definition of professional. This facilitates me being able to say, “give me an image for X,” and not having to put in additional instructions every time. There are equal parts men and women, no more than 50% white people, natural hair, and a visible disability in at least every other image. I will adjust as I have more time, as this is something I find I do often for association work.
